We are at All-Star week around the league as everyone is focused in on San Jose today and tomorrow.

Acosta added to ASG roster | FCDallas.com

He may be listed as a defender on the roster but it is absolutely awesome to see Kellyn Acosta get the recognition he deserves this season.

What is next for the U-18 players in FCD's academy | FCDallas.com

Here is a really good look at where the majority of the U-18s are going this fall in school. We'll certainly be keeping a close eye on these kids as they begin play in college.

Aubrey David makes seamless transition to FCD | Dallas Morning News

So far I have to admit that the midseason signing of Aubrey David is going very well. He's played in a couple games so far and looks very good with our backline.

Making the Olympic call | Dallas Soccer News

One bit of news that went a bit under the radar was that our own Mark Followill would be broadcasting for NBC during this summer's Olympic games in Rio. Now he won't be in Rio during the games (he'll be in a studio up in Conn.), but it is really cool that more and more are getting to see what we get each week out of his game calls.

Gonzalez knows the Homegrown Game opponent well | MLSSoccer.com

Part of me wondered if the Mexican U-20 national team tried to get Jesse Gonzalez to play on both sides in this one. That would have been interesting.

Fans around the league know that FCD is doing something positive with their academy players but most may not know them all like we do. Hopefully tonight's game will showcase Gonzalez, Coy Craft and Aaron Guillen a bit more.

Schmid out as Sounders coach | Sounder at Heart

This was definitely the bigger news of the day as the two parted ways. It has certainly been a down year in Seattle and Sigi Schmid gets the first bit of blame on the season.

Bell tolls for Sounders to make a move on Schmid | MLSSoccer.com

Here is a good look at just how down this season has been for Seattle. A lot of blame placed on losing Obafemi Martins, even more should be placed on how that roster didn't get younger and better this past offseason.

Who should the next Seattle boss be? | MLSSoccer.com

There are definitely some interesting names on this list. Bob Bradley is certainly a big enough name that makes some sense there. I wonder if they may just stick it out and make long-time assistant Brian Schmetzer the new coach.

Schmid's reputation is still intact | ESPNFC.com

I wonder if he will hang it up for good at his age or if he thinks he has another run left in the tank. A year off and then build up LAFC sound logical to me.

How Zach Steffen joined Columbus | Massive Report

This was one of those moves that surprised a few folks last week as Steffan was a former Philadelphia academy player. He never signed with the Union and instead went overseas.

Could Roberto Martinez be the first Atlanta United coach? | Dirty South Soccer

Leave it to Taylor Twellman for dropping some clues via Twitter on this one.

Ibrahimovic not ruling MLS out just yet | FourFourTwo

Zlatan still wants to come to MLS and from the sound of it in Miami too. Fun.
