The United States look to rebound tonight as they battle regional rivals Costa Rica in a pivotal game in Group A.
The US lost over the weekend in the opener to Colombia, while Costa Rica and Paraguay tied 0-0. There is still plenty to play for but this game is certainly in the mold of a do-or-die type. If the US win, their chances of getting out of the group go up drastically, while a loss will certainly mean they will fail to advance.
Jurgen Klinsmann's squad will have some help in this one as one of Costa Rica's main defenders, Vancouver's Kendall Waston was red carded late in the draw against Paraguay. That should open up some gaps in the defense for the US to expose. Maybe this time Darlington Nagbe and Christian Pulisic will get the start to help boost the attack from the opening whistle.
Join us tonight as we take in this match as this will be our game thread.
The US finish out the group stage later this week when they take on Paraguay.
