FC Dallas vs Colorado Rapids, 2016 USOC: Preview, schedule and how to watch online

FC Dallas looks to advance to the quarterfinals with a win.

FC Dallas looks to advance to the quarterfinals in the 2016 Lamar Hunt US Open Cup tomorrow night as they host current MLS leaders Colorado Rapids.

FC Dallas notes:

Injury update. Right now it appears that both Zach Loyd and Ryan Hollingshead are out for this game.

Record at home in the USOC. FCD has won seven of their previous 11 games in the USOC at Toyota Stadium. Their most recent game was in 2014 in the semifinal loss to Philadelphia on penalties.

Key player for FCD: Carlos Lizarazo. As much as I want to think Oscar Pareja will put out a full strength lineup tomorrow night, I really would like to see him use a lot of reserve players like Lizarazo, who was killer in the first USOC match against OKC. His two goals were almost a coming out party but I think another strong outing in this tournament could push him to potentially be in the discussion to start more as the season progresses.

Biggest question: Does FC Dallas go strong or go reserved?

We’ll discuss this more in a squad selection tomorrow morning but that is definitely the biggest question on short rest. Do you start your main guys and go for the win or do you gamble with your reserves and hope they can do enough to get you through?
