Fernando Clavijo confirms FC Dallas will go after a striker

It sounds like the extra money available could go to good use this summer.

While FC Dallas may be dealing with a few transfer rumors for players like Fabian Castillo, the club is busy at work at finding another striker in the upcoming transfer window that will open on July 4.

Following the club’s 2-0 win over Real Salt Lake, radio-man Steve Davis caught up with Fernando Clavijo about what the club has planned this summer.

The club has plenty of resources that we know of going into the transfer window between the general and targeted allocation money left over and the newly acquired money from the sale of Alejandro Zendejas.

No big rumors have popped up yet but one can hope the club uses that TAM to get a striker in this window since they have used up all of their available Designated Player slots on Mauro Diaz, Carlos Gruezo and Castillo.

What do you make of Clavijo saying the club would acquire a striker this summer? Think we’ll get one or will it be one of his cheaper deals that he is known for?
