It was an interesting weekend in the soccer world as FC Dallas won their game and then Chile upset Argentina in the Copa final.

FCD made it look pretty easy against a third squad from RSL.
It was one of those nights that things started to click well for FCD's big names.
We know there will always be rumors with Fabian Castillo's name attached to them but the one we got late last week got some cold water poured on over the weekend by FCD's front office.
And one more from the move that took place on Friday with Alex Zendejas going to Chivas. It came up quickly for FCD but there had been talks with Chivas for a while now apparently.

Yeah, that lovely chant we hear from the Mexican fans continues to stick around MLS. Just like the YSA chant, that one has to go.
As you might expect, the Timbers Army had a pretty nice Tifo on Sunday evening for their game.
Boy things continue to look bad in Seattle right now as the Sounders lost at home...to NYCFC. Yikes.

After losing on penalties, Lionel Messi said he was done playing for Argentina. In a way it sounds like he got caught up in the emotions of losing a third straight Cup final with his country but on the other hand, I could see him do this. That penalty miss was pretty bad though too.
Basically, the US still has a long way to go here. But on the bright side, they still finished above Mexico.
