It all comes down to one more group game for FC Dallas midfielder Carlos Gruezo and Ecuador as they take on the upstart nation of Haiti.

Ecuador has tied their first two group games and are in a good spot to advance to the quarterfinals with a win against Haiti, who is not going to be able to advance following their 7-1 blowout loss earlier in the week to Brazil.

Ecuador will still need some help from Brazil as they take on Peru. Goal differential could play a factor as Peru currently has a +1 difference to Ecuador’s zero. A draw between the Brazilians and Peruvians would make things a bit more hairy for Ecuador but a big win today over the Haitians would go a long way in securing a spot in the next round.

Join us today as we cheer on Gruezo and his country with this game thread.
