The Texas Derby is upon us again and this time, both clubs have had a chance to settle into their rhythms of the MLS season. Houston started 2016 off with 11 goals in the opening three matches, then proceeded to destroy itself by going 2W-8L-2D since their last meeting with Dallas. The Hoops, on the other hand, has steadily recovered from that 5-0 debacle, picking up 7 wins, 3 losses and 4 draws to put themselves a point behind league and conference leader (!!!), Colorado Rapids.
The official league injury report is pretty bare bones for FC Dallas:
OUT: M - Alex Zendejas (osteitis pubis)
OUT: M - Michael Barrios (right knee sprain)
But the international call-ups are doing some damage to the FCD lineup. But this roster was definitely built with all of that in mind. Tesho Akindele, Carlos Gruezo, Maynor Figueroa and Atiba Harris are away on international duty. But word is that Colin Bonner and Coy Craft are also back in town and are available for selection.
With all that mind and knowing that three points is an absolute must, what do you do? Do you think Maxi Urruti is 90 minutes ready? Is it time to give Colin Bonner a shot? After Lizarazo's forgettable debut, is it time for Timo Pitter to get a shot? Who's the starting CB pairing for this side? Matt Hedges and....?
