FC Dallas only gets to meet Toronto FC once a year these days thanks to conference alignment. The two sides have played some fairly memorable games over the years since Toronto came into the league back in 2007.

This weekend will be one more memorable match added to the pile as BMO Field gets re-opened with their new roof structure.

The very first meeting between these two squads was quite the blowout. Toronto FC was struggling going into this match, winning only three of their first 10 games in MLS.

Then Dallas came to town and they some how blew things up a bit. Former FCD striker Jeff Cunningham had two goals while Maurice Edu and Danny Dichio added one apiece.

The last time Dallas went to Toronto it was another wild game. Dallas dominated the majority of this game with goals from Andrew Jacobson and Blas Perez before Justin Braun and Darrel Russell both scored in the final six minutes to salvage a point for TFC.

In other words, it was another frustrating day in Toronto for Dallas.

The lone meeting last year was quite the story. FC Dallas raced out to a 3-0 lead in 27 minutes with two great goals from Fabian Castillo and a third from Blas Perez. Then the weather came.

That game was delayed a total of 206 minutes due to nasty weather at Toyota Stadium. A combination of lighting, heavy wind and rain caused the long delay. The game finally resumed around 11:45pm and didn't conclude until after 1 am.

After the restart Toronto found their way back into the game with two goals from MLS MVP Sebastian Giovinco.
