FC Dallas ends their 3 game road swing with a trip to Canada to face Toronto FC in their season opener. (Yeah, that's not a typo.) TFC boasts last year's reigning MVP in Sebastian Giovinco, who without a doubt is the league's most impressive player to watch on the offensive side of the ball. Whoever Dallas puts in the midfield will have to be extra cautious and mindful of Giovinco's spacing and touches on the ball.
Dallas just has a couple on the official league injury report, but reports are saying that Alex Zendejas has returned to practice. But here's what it officially says as of 5/4.
OUT: M Alex Zendejas (osteitis pubis)
OUT: D Matt Hedges
LOAN: D Moises Hernandez
LOAN: F Coy Craft
LOAN: F Colin Bonner
What exactly do you do in goal this week? Jesse had a mixed game where he made some big and crucial saves early on, to keep Dallas in it against the Red Bulls, but also shipped four goals in the process. Who do you stack in the middle of the field to keep tabs on Giovinco? (My vote is Acosta/Ulloa.) Would you put Figueroa back to LB, Hollingshead to RB and pair Zach Loyd with Walker Zimmerman in the middle for more stability in the defense? Or is it time to experiment a little more to see if there's another formula that works here?
