FC Dallas vs. San Jose Earthquakes - Match Predictions

An impressive road victory last week for FC Dallas. Surely, they can't do it again?

Tesho is killin' it, y'all.

Winslow Townson-USA TODAY Sports

FC Dallas, against many odds, defeated a good New England team on the road last week. You can thank Jason and I for being there on the road and giving the team the cheering boost they needed to run rampant at Gillette. The highest point receiver from last week was Ben with two points for the scorer and the victory.

Here are your top five after last week:

Taylor 19
Phil 17
Mohammad 16
Cody 15
Nathan 14

Scoring breakdown for the season will be implemented using the following:

1 for predicting the correct result

3 points bonus for predicting the exact score

3 point bonus (optional) for nailing the correct scorers for FC Dallas only.

Maximum available weekly points are 7 points.

Here are our predictions. What do you think happens tonight?

Name Result FCD SJ Comments
Andy Jaeger

Andy is somewhere in Europe, doing Europey things (we hope).
Ben Lyon Win 2 0 Punchless, toothless, stupid, no good, hackish Earthquakes FAIL at home. Goals for Diaz and Castillo. 15 red cards for serial murderer and litterbug Bernardez.
Cody Gamond Win 1 0 None other than Fabian Castillo scores a goal for the highlight reel, but fcd fail to make the best of their chances and the game stays tight. FCD manage to hold on to 3 points.
Drew Epperley Draw 1 1 FCD gives up an early goal again on a set piece but instead of giving up three more goals they battle back for a draw thanks to a goal from Diaz.
Jared Tilley Win 2 0 FC Dallas is rolling right on offense and will continue to score. With hedges coming back into the defense it will help to stop leaking goals. Castillo and Tesho score on the evening.
Jason Poon Draw 0 0 Deal with it
Mohammad Bushnaq Win 2 1 Depleted San Jose roster has FC Dallas in prime position for another road victory. Tesho continues his hot streak and Ortiz gets on the board for FC Dallas.
Nathan Hill Win 2 1 FC Dallas feels lucky to get three points on an errant shot that bounces off of seven Quakes players into goal. Dan Hunt jokingly after the game promises another three points with the team on a roll. If not, the first 1000 fans get to punch him in the face. Tickets sell out within minutes.
Phil Luetchford Win 2 0 San Jose is missing Wondo, Amarikwa, Dawkins, Quintero, and Godoy. Up top, Kinnear will put Barrett and Jahn? Yawn. Dallas is missing Barrios and Gruezo, but still has more than enough firepower to put San Jose away with Diaz pulling the strings again. Tesho and Castillo each score while Hedges returns to captain the backline to a shutout.
Ryan Scalon Win 2 0 We weeks and stuff (what?). It'll be Urruti and Zim. We score goals and, vodka. BigDSoccer does not approve this message.
Scott Hiney

Per the agreement of our loan policy with FC Dallas' front office, Scott Hiney will forfeit his predictions until the loan comes to an end.
Taylor Hester Win 3 0 San Jose will be missing several players. FCD is on a roll and they keep rolling. Castillo x2 and one from Tesho.
