As you know, FCD qualified for the CONCACAF Champions League CCL) last season. Now it's finally here. Well it almost is.
The CCL draw will take place Monday, May 30 at 7 pm CT in Miami, Florida. The event will be televised on Univision Deportes Network and streamed live on the CONCACAF Facebook page.
The 24 teams who qualified for this edition of the tournament have been placed into three pots. From there, they will be drawn into eight groups of three teams. Teams play each other twice and the top team from each group advances to the quarterfinals.
The Group Stage begins play in August and wraps up in October, and the knockout rounds begin in early 2017. Each phase of the knockout rounds consists of a two-leg home-and-away series. The winning team of the 2016-17 CCL will earn a spot in the FIFA Club World Cup in 2017.

Pot 3: Pumas UNAM (MEX), Tigres UANL (MEX), CF Monterrey (MEX), CF Pachuca (MEX), Sporting Kansas City (USA), New York Red Bulls (USA), FC Dallas (USA), Portland Timbers (USA)
As you can see, two spots are still up for grabs in El Salvador and Guatemala. Those will be decided very soon.
