The weekend is finally here as FC Dallas is about to go to New England to battle the Revolution.

Salaries were revealed yesterday and we finally got to see what some players were making this year. Not a ton of surprises in this either but we now know how well Fernando Clavijo and Oscar Pareja are bargain bin shopping here.
He's likely going to be the lone FCD player in next month's tournament but I wouldn't be shocked to see Carlos Gruezo do well in it.

Plenty of words were written yesterday about the salary reveal but this one may have been my favorite as it quickly discussed how well FC Dallas is doing at building a young and cheap roster that wins.
One of the big take aways as usual is seeing how the average salary in MLS is each season. And as expected it is on the rise.
The league's website seems to be going all out for the NY derby this weekend. Being that it is in its second year, I guess building up the hype doesn't hurt to do.
On the other hand, a rivalry series that should be a little more intense is really anything but. A lot of Union fans got started with MLS as DCU fans. Basically this 'rivalry' needs a bit of a kick to it on the field.
Between the Cascadia fun, the Canadian fun, Atlantic Cup, Texas Derby, California Clasico, and any other made up derby, there is a lot to pick from in the rivalry department. It is a shame FCD and Houston aren't playing this weekend though.
I said it yesterday and I'll say it again today, I kind of feel for the Chicago fans with the way things are going there.
The ladies in our lives typically have the final say on a lot of things.
