FC Dallas will have at least one player to play apart of this summer's Copa America Centenario as midfielder Carlos Gruezo was named to Ecuador's 23-man roster today.
Gruezo is the only MLS-based player on Ecuador's squad.
The 21-year-old first appeared for the Ecuadorian Men’s National Team in January of 2014, shortly before being named to their roster for the 2014 FIFA World Cup in Brazil. Gruezo has made 10 appearances for the team but the last one was nearly a year ago.
He will be apart of the club's two tuneup matches that take place over the next couple weeks including the one against the United State's national team at Toyota Stadium on May 25. Ecuador will also apparently play an unofficial friendly against the LA Galaxy on May 31.
Ecuador is slated to take on Brazil at the Rose Bowl Stadium, Peru at the University of Phoenix Stadium and Haiti at MetLife Stadium in the group stage of Copa America Centenario.
