Some roster news to get the week going here as FC Dallas announced today that they have signed defender Agustin Jara, pending his P-1 visa.

The 23-year old Argentine defender spent the majority of the preseason with FC Dallas during their trip to Arizona. He logged over 170 minutes during the preseason camp in Arizona, in games against New England and Grand Canyon University. He also put in another 135 minutes of work as the club returned to Texas for games against USL affiliate Oklahoma City Energy FC and during the Red and Blue Classic scrimmage.

Jara spent most of this time playing on the flanks in the defense during the preseason.

Jara was brought in this preseason by assistant coach Josema Bazan. He spent his time prior to joining FC Dallas in Argentina with C.A. Colon de Santa Fe.

According to the club's press release, he will occupy one of the club's remaining international roster slots and he does come in as a discovery signing. If anything he will be additional defensive depth for the long haul this season, something we all know the club needs.
