The road struggles continue on the season for FC Dallas as they got blown out yet again away from home in a 4-0 loss to the New York Red Bulls.

New York hammered Dallas with chances on the night as they got goals from Mike Grella, Felipe, Sacha Kljestan and Lloyd Sam.

Jesse Gonzalez made his first start in over a month as was tested early and often in goal by the Red Bulls. The Homegrown had three saves in the first half on big plays against Bradley-Wright Phillips and Grella.

The Red Bulls relentless attack paid off as they scored off a stellar free kick in the 37th minute. Kljestan chipped the ball over the Dallas wall to Sal Zizzo, who headed the ball across goal where Sam was there to hammer it home past Gonzalez.

New York doubled their lead after halftime on a wild sequence in the midfield that saw Sam drop a long shot from distance that hit off the crossbar and back into play where Klejstan was waiting to head it home into the net.

New York added a third in the 70th minute on a quick header by Grella off a great cross by Felipe. Sam was huge again on the play as he pushed a ball out wide to Felipe and the Brazilian did the rest with his cross to Grella.

The Red Bulls carved the Dallas defense up one more time in the 83rd minute as Alex Muyl found Felipe in the middle of the park where he fired a shot from distance past Gonzalez.

FC Dallas returns to action next weekend as they wrap up their three game road trip against Toronto FC.
