FC Dallas saw their six-game unbeaten streak end on Saturday night in a 3-0 loss to the Vancouver Whitecaps.

Dallas had several chances to score in the first half including one ten minutes in on a ball from Walker Zimmerman into the penalty box. Fabian Castillo got the ball and tried to chip Vancouver keeper David Ousted but the ball would go over the net.

Almost ten minutes later in the 19th minute, Maximiliano Urruti attempted a volley that nearly beat Ousted. But again the Vancouver keeper would do enough to keep it out of the net.

Vancouver made their first breakthrough in three games in the 35th minute on an own goal scored by Maynor Figueroa. Whitecaps midfielder Ketuka Manneh found space along the wing where he put in a tough cross towards goal. Chris Seitz punched the ball out but unfortunately only to where Figueroa was as the ball hit off the veteran defender and into the back of the net.

Oustad again came up big for the Whitecaps in the 50th minute on an attempt between Urruti and Michael Barrios. The Colombian winger got the ball from Urruti and tried a hard shot from the right side but Oustad made another one-handed save.

Vancouver doubled their lead in the 63rd minute on a corner kick. Just like in previous corner kicks scored on Dallas this season, the ball found its way through the defense where Jordon Harvey was there to slot it home.

The Whitecaps got a third goal in the 77th minute on a play from former Dallas forward Blas Perez, flicked a ball on to Manneh who slid his shot under Seitz.

Dallas returns to play on Friday night as they continue their three-game road trip as they visit the New York Red Bulls.
