FC Dallas travels to the Vancouver hoping to make it 2/2 so far on the season in the Pacific Northwest.
Here are the updated standings after last week's many accurate predictions.
Our top three points levels are five persons deep with Phil, Mohammad, Taylor, Nathan, Cody, and Jared all jumping up due to predicting the 2-1 result accurately. Taylor remains in first with a masterful five point performance last week. Jason earned another two points for his masterful 3-0 prediction and he will continue to receive two points for each loss he predicts until FC Dallas loses, so he is creeping up there as well so long as FCD continues to win.
Scoring breakdown for the season will be implemented using the following:
|Andy Jaeger||Win||2||1||Another early goal but this time it's Dallas with Urruti scoring off a set piece in the 21st minute. Vancouver answers to start the second half. Barrios scores the game winner on his first touch inside the box in the 77 minute.|
|Ben Lyon||Win||2||1||This team looks like road warriors this year (Houston fiasco aside), and they're catching VAN at a good time. Urruti bags a brace before half (he's got to stop hitting the post at some point), and they hang on after conceding late.|
|Cody Gamond||Win||4||1||Dallas starts off hot again, with a goal from Castillo and Urruti to get the first half ticking. Perez strikes back in 2nd half to make it nervy, but 2 more for Barrios put the game to bed.|
|Drew Epperley||Draw||1||1||Seems like a bit of a trap game for FCD as the Whitecaps haven't been great this season. BC Place is still a rough place to go to but I think Dallas gets a goal early before giving up one late.|
|Jared Tilley||Draw||2||2||FC Dallas comes out flying. The first goal comes from Castillo, cutting inside and hitting a nice finesse shot. Urruti gets the second goal by getting on the end of a through ball by Diaz. FCD isn't able to see the game out and gives up the tying after the 85th minute, from a header off of a corner.|
|Jason Poon||Loss||0||2||Blas Perez with the brace and does the horns celebration right in front of the Dallas bench.|
|Mohammad Bushnaq||Draw||2||2||Both teams trade goals with Vancouver scoring first, Dallas grabbing two back courtesy of Barrios and Zimmerman, and Vancouver countering to send everybody home happy with a result.|
|Nathan Hill||Win||3||1||FC Dallas continues its domination, even though Blas comes out ready to play. Diaz makes his return (just cause I am starting him in my fantasy team no matter what). Urruti, Castillo, and Mauro Rosales with goals. After the game, Blas and Pareja share a touching exchange on the sideline. Pareja invites Blas to come home, and while Perez hesitates, he ultimately decides to stay in Vancouver cause the healthcare is way better.|
|Phil Luetchford||Win||2||1||FC Dallas strikes twice on the counter. Urruti and Barrios continue their torrid start to the season with quick strike goals. FC Dallas fans will groan in the 80th minute as Vancouver scores from a set piece, making the final 10 minutes nervy.|
|Ryan Scalon||Draw||3||3||Wild game on the road as Vancouver comes back from two down to prey on a backline that's missing our captain. Blas, Morales and Manneh get on the board for Vancouver while Castillo, Urruti and Barrios score for FCD.|
|Scott Hiney||Win||2||1||I don't buy that Vancouver is offensively inept. That being said, FC Dallas simply has more firepower as Urruti and Castillo notch goals.|
|Taylor Hester||Win||2||1||Vancouver controls first half and goes up 1-0. They think their misfortune is over, but Dallas storms back with goals from Barrios and Mauro!|
