FC Dallas vs Portland Timbers: Squad Selection

FCD faces a tough mid-week road match against defending MLS Cup champions Portland Timbers.

Kevin Jairaj-USA TODAY Sports

FC Dallas has a mid-week match against the Portland Timbers and seek to reverse their fortunes in the Rose City; a place where FCD has failed to leave with three points in their pocket. (That one's for you Stephen Keel!) FC Dallas has endured an awful 0-4-2 record in Portland and will desperately seek to bring back at least a point from the struggling Timbers.

The official injury report remains the same, with just Alex Zendejas out with injury and Mauro Diaz as questionable. Coy Craft will be unavailable as he's still currently on loan with FC Dallas USL affiliate, the Oklahoma City Energy.

OUT: M Alex Zendejas (osteitis pubis)

M Mauro Diaz (undisclosed injury)

The big question right now is what Oscar Pareja will do with his lineup and after having seen his side struggle with Mauro Diaz for two consecutive weeks, will Pareja opt for a more traditional 4-4-2 and hope to hit on the counter or is it time to insert Mauro Rosales into the #10 role? Will you keep Matt Hedges and Walker Zimmerman together to handle Fanendo Adi or will you bring back Zach Loyd into the mix? Of course, you'll need to keep in mind that there's a short turnaround as FCD will face Sporting Kansas City on Sunday.
