FC Dallas vs. Montreal Impact: Match Predictions

The expectations have been tempered for our predictions.

Jean-Yves Ahern-USA TODAY Sports

The only person to receive a point from that dreadful match in the Armpit last weekend was Taylor for predicting a draw. He was the only staff member to not predict a win and received the bonus as a result of his pessimism. Drew and Nathan remain atop the standings with 4 points each.

Scoring breakdown for the season will be implemented using the following:

1 for predicting the correct result

3 points bonus for predicting the exact score

3 point bonus (optional) for nailing the correct scorers for FC Dallas only.

Maximum available weekly points are 7 points.

Ben Lyon Win 3 1 A bounce back is clearly in the cards for Dallas. Drogba's only visit to Frisco is ruined by an Urruti brace sandwiching another Mauro curler off a free kick.

Drew Epperley Draw 1 1 Last weekend's game was a wake up call for FCD as Fabian Castillo and Mauro Diaz help kick in the first goal in the opening half. Montreal and Didier Drogba get one shortly after halftime to keep the game level for the rest of the game.
Edin Halilovic

Jared Tilley Draw 2 2
Jason Poon Loss 1 3 Have a bad feeling about this one.
Jeremy Villanueva

Mohammad Bushnaq Win 2 1 Papi has the boys firing in the first half with Gruezo and Hedges getting on the score sheet but a furious second half rally has them holding on for dear life for a solid three points at home.
Nathan Hill Draw 2 2 It's an up and down game that ultimately proves frustrating when Montreal scores late to even the odds. At halftime, Dan Hunt tries to sneak a FCD jersey with Drogba's name on it into the opposing locker room, hoping to trick the world class striker into playing for the wrong team. It doesn't work due to the meddling actions of some stoner kids and their talking dog.
Phil Luetchford Win 3 2 Flying out of the gate, Papi has the boys fired up. Castillo and Barrios each score within the first 25 minutes. Down 2-0 at the half, Drogba decides he will score a goal in the second and thus it is so. Nacho Piatti wrong foots a defender to tie the game up. But Dallas is a team that does not drop points at home. Mauro Diaz completes another virtuoso performance with the game winning goal in the 82nd minute. The Toyota Stadium fans go wild and toast the victory with free Raising Cane's.

Being back home sparks the guys into really showing that last week was just a weird fluke that should never be talked about. Montreal's Piatti and Drogba score but Urruti, Diaz, and Acosta all bring us back into glory.
Scott Hiney

Plenty of offense between a team looking to bounce back and a team on fire. Drogba plays well, netting a goal, but the FC Dallas' offense looks like it did in week one and finishes their chances.
Taylor Hester Draw 2 2 FCD looks way better than last week but Montreal being hot right now and Drogba returning is too much for FCD to get all three points. I'll throw in some names to see if I can get some extra points. Fabi, Barrios, Piatti, Oduro
