Last week we got a taste of what the newcomers bring to the table for FC Dallas. Maynor Figueroa, who most of us thought was going to be a CB here found his way out to the leftback spot, providing a lot of strength and muscle to the backline. We were also treated to why Carlos Gruezo was so highly sought after and why many experts thought this was Dallas' best signing this off-season. Maxi Urruti also showed glimpses of his ability to lead the line, though he should've had at least two goals on Sunday, but his off ball movement and ability to connect with Michael Barrios. Mauro Diaz and Fabian Castillo was evident.
Speaking of Fabian Castillo, we now have our first starter with an injury and will be unavailable for selection. Well, that's at least what Oscar has said... the official injury report actually doesn't list him as "out".
Out - F Coy Craft (meniscus surgery recovery)
Out - M Alex Zendejas (osteitis pubis)
M Fabian Castillo (abductor injury)
With all that said, who do you think should start against Houston this Saturday? Is the backline set with Figueroa, Matt Hedges, Walker Zimmerman and Atiba Harris? Or does Ryan Hollingshead and Zach Loyd find a way back in? Who takes Castillo's spot on the left flank? Is it time to blood another newcomer with Timo Pitter and Carlos Lizarazo who can play on the left? Or do you slide Barrios over and insert Tesho on the right?
Here's my guess on who we'll see:
