MLS Cup is only a couple days away.

The weather is a little cooler outside here in Dallas as we inch closer to MLS Cup.

It has been a heck of a year really for Hedges when you look at all that he has accomplished. Now we get to see him stick around for four more years.

Matt is typically pretty straight forward when he talks to the press but you can tell he is pretty jazzed about his new deal.

It really came down to the player and team votes in this one. David Villa, Bradley Wright-Phillips and Sebastian Giovinco were all tied on the media vote. But it was Villa who picked up more player and team votes to win the award.

I’ve always been impressed with how well Villa has been for the club and the league off the field. The league needs more big name DPs like him if you ask me.

In the same day we see two former NASL sides (well at least one for sure at this point) open up about their intentions on getting into MLS. That Tampa plan excites me a lot though, especially with that waterfront stadium.
