Only two more days until Christmas, are you all ready?

The rumored signing of another HGP came in yesterday as FCD signed their 18th Homegrown in defender Reggie Cannon. This kid will compete for minutes next season for sure.
Cannon had a pretty strong Freshman campaign at UCLA where he started in every single game.
Eek, do we really want this guy? In some ways, getting him in a new environment would probably do him a lot of good.

It may be high time the league evaluates both the Waiver and Re-Entry Drafts here. Both came and went with only a small number of players taken.
Williams was really one of the few targets I thought would be okay here in terms of a depth addition. Columbus needed him way him than we did though.
Boy, I’d love to see FCD get their hands on Dillon Powers or even someone like Will Bruin or Erik Hurtado.
There is a lot in this piece but it is worth going all the way through if you are interested in what Minnesota and Atlanta are doing and the future of Darlington Nagbe.
This is always a fun debate in my mind, one that our staff plans on discussing real soon in a Quick Burns format. I don’t have too many arguments though with this selection for FCD.
Damn that is quite the pickup right before Christmas for the defending Cup champions.
Harry Shipp is one thing but Benedetto? That would definitely put the Sounders in a place where they could defend their title next season. Wow.
Of all the names that have been mentioned thus far, Tab Ramos is about the only one that doesn’t make me laugh.
While FCD isn’t really having too much of an issue signing HGPs these days, other clubs in MLS have to go the extra mile in some cases to sign them.
Well, this may be a small trend that we’ll see over the next couple of weeks, cities in the USL (or whatever is left of the NASL) coming out to say that they aren’t applying for a MLS team.
