Moving on to the fourth round of our 2016 FC Dallas Goal of the Year, we feature a match up highlighting the skills and strengths of Dallas’ most lethal offensive weapons this season.
Round 4: Fabi Things vs Maxi Things
The season opening goal was the quintessential FCD counter-attact: minimal touches, direct, fast and lethal. Mauro Diaz’s exquisite through ball skills are put on display as he plays Fabian Castillo through with the perfectly weighted pass. It’s absolutely a joy to watch Dallas play direct like this at times.
Next up, we have Maxi Urruti providing one of his trademark, jaw-dropping goals from the U.S. Open Cup Final. A deft touch to lift the ball around his defender, Urruti adds to the degree of difficulty by executing a perfectly placed volley in the back of the net. You know, basic Maxi stuff during a Cup final. No biggie.
