The dreams of a treble are over.

We won the battle but Seattle won the war is how the saying may go. Whatever may come of this though we can truly say it was a special season. I know we’ll dive more into it in the coming weeks.
There is also no denying how many games FCD has played in this season. The 34 regular season games, the five in the USOC, the four in the CCL and then the two in the MLS playoffs. That my friends is a lot of games.
I get Tesho’s comments. Hard pill to swallow when you’ve done so much already this season.
Just like we’ve seen before in the playoffs, when you give up a road goal, it makes life really difficult.
You can’t spot a team like Seattle a three goal advantage in a two legged series. Simple as that.
Two titles in one season is nothing to feel down about.
And now from the other side of the ball from last night. A Seattle perspective on how the series went down.

Colorado climbed back in their series against LA and then took them to penalties where Tim Howard made a few big stops to seal the series win.
Can anyone stop Toronto right now in these playoffs? Seriously? I don’t think anyone can.
Well, okay, if there is a club that could beat Toronto it is probably this Montreal team.
FCD wasn’t the only one seed to crash out of the playoffs. New York never showed up in the series against Montreal and looked nothing like the club that went unbeaten between July and October.
