Following the United States’ 2-0 win over Cuba Friday afternoon in Havana, US Men’s National team manager Jurgen Klinsmann called in six new players to his roster including FC Dallas Homegrown midfielder Kellyn Acosta.
The US are hosting New Zealand on Tuesday in Washington, D.C., at RFK Stadium.
Acosta joins Juan Agudelo, Matt Belser, Terrence Boyd, Bill Hamid, Tim Parker and Michael Orozco. Meanwhile 10 players have returned to their clubs: John Brooks, Geoff Cameron, Timmy Chandler, Ethan Horvath, Fabian Johnson, Jordan Morris, Christian Pulisic, Chris Wondolowski, Bobby Wood and DeAndre Yedlin.
The Plano-native made his senior international debut earlier this year, recently earned his first start in a World Cup Qualifier, helping the U.S. to a 6-0 win over St. Vincent and the Grenadines in September.
Acosta is the 29th FCD player to earn a call up this season.
Acosta will rejoin FC Dallas on Wednesday as they get set to host Seattle next weekend at Toyota Stadium.
