And more on that lone MLS match of the weekend. Houston is now officially eliminated from playoff contention while the Rapids will finish no lower than number two in the west. Crazy stat, this is the first time in Colorado’s history that they’ll finish higher than third in the Western Conference regular season.

While the Hex is a big deal in qualifying, I wouldn’t be opposed to seeing a change in how the region handles its World Cup Qualifying. A couple larger groups that give teams a better shot wouldn’t be bad.
