The international call ups for FC Dallas in 2016 are already off to a fast start as the club announced on Friday that forward Tesho Akindele will be joining the Canadian National Team Camp.
Head coach Benito Floro's squad for a camp in Southern California beginning on Monday, January 25.The Canadians will square off against the United States national team in a friendly on February 5. There is potential that FC Dallas could have two players on the field for that game as Kellyn Acosta is currently with Jurgen Klinsmann's squad.
Akindele is the fifth FCD player called into national team duty in January, following Acosta with the US and three youth national team calls for Alejandro Zenedjas, Coy Craft, and Jesse Gonzalez.
Akindele is entering his third season with FC Dallas in 2016 where he looks to improve on the five goals and one assist that he had a year ago following his MLS Rookie of the Year campaign in 2014.
