It seems hard to believe that we're just a couple days away from the start of preseason.
// FC Dallas //
Make no mistake about it, the FCD U-18s are legit (after all they are the same group that won the U-16 national title last year). Hopefully it means FCD will lock a couple of players up with HGP deals after the tournament is over.

MLS 1, Germany 0? Eh, whatever the case may be, it looks as though Jordon Morris wanted to stay home in MLS with Seattle.
If you're curious or just flat out haven't kept up with the Morris situation these last few weeks, here is a good explanation as to why he opted to stay in the US.
The ever shrinking DCU stadium got an updated look yesterday. Apparently there is one more meeting in the way before DCU can finally...yes finally...put shovels in the dirt and build this damn thing.
In a recent podcast, MLS commissioner Don Garber got back into the expansion discussion with some talk about St. Louis. The word I keep being told from the league offices is that St. Louis could be the next 'pet project' of the commissioner (just like NYCFC was before that).
Yesterday was media day at the league offices and Bruce Arena was on rare form with some of his comments. This one on league expansion. As much as I love expansion talk in this league, Arena does have some good points on slowing it down a bit.
Another one from Arena out of media day. Once again, Arena brings up some valid points across the board on how the league needs to loosen up on things.
For more on things like what Kaka, Steven Gerrard and Andrea Pirlo had to say yesterday, here is a good list of articles from SI.com
Last Thursday was one of the nuttiest drafts I've ever watched since I began covering this league back in 2007.
I had no idea that Farrell grew up in Peru but that would be rather cool to see another MLS player like him in Copa America this summer.
Another bit of news to end the morning is that Portland is having to fend off several European clubs for Fanendo Adi.
