FC Dallas added two more players through the 2016 MLS SuperDraft on Tuesday by selecting forward Colin Bonner (third round, 45th overall) and defender Jacob Speed (fourth round, 78th overall).
Bonner comes from UNC Wilmington where he scored 23 goals and tallied 15 assists in 75 starts. The 6-4 forward was a 2015 NSCAA First Team All-Midwest Region selection after posting a career high in goals (7) and assists (6).
Speed comes locally from SMU. The Mansfield, TX native spent one year at the University of Kentucky before transferring back home to SMU for his sophomore season. In three seasons with the Mustangs, he picked up two assists in 45 matches.
These two picks will go along with the two that were selected last Thursday in the first and second rounds. All four will now join the team in preseason - which begins next week - as they hope to make the roster for the 2016 season.
