The offseason is nearly over as the preseason is set to begin for FC Dallas.

Last week FCD picked up two in the SuperDraft. Here is what Oscar Pareja and Fernando Clavijo have to say about the potential rookies (neither have officially signed deals yet).
The first match of the Copa Chivas tournament didn't get off to a great start for FCD.
Thankfully the young guys rebounded in a tough match against Monterrey. They have one game today and another tomorrow to wrap up group play.
I missed this article late last week but its worth the read still today. Good to hear that there wasn't any bitterness towards Jesse Gonzalez for not joining the US this month. I still have a gut feeling Gonzalez was never really going to join the US in the first place.

I think a good chunk of us were bummed to see Eddie Johnson's career when the way it did this past year. He spoke out about his new life after soccer recently.
I still can't believe LA is going to add Ashley Cole but it looks more and more likely after he got out of his contract with Roma. What is even more interesting to me are the signings of Nigel de Jong and Jelle van Damme.
And here is the latest on the Jordon Morris saga.
They may not have any MLS players signed yet, or even a coach, but Atlanta United FC will have an affiliate in the USL this season in Charleston. Hearing that they want to get some academy players signed and sent to the USL is a really smart play on their part.
I think the Philadelphia Union were very pleased with their draft even if some were questioning why they didn't pick Brandon Vincent with the third overall pick. Still, they got one of the best center backs in the draft along with a solid fullback.
I'm not sure Yuri Movsisyan is worth a DP deal but I have to tip my hat to RSL for going after a guy that they know will do well for them and that fans already like.
Year one was a rather large disaster for NYCFC but I like signings like this for MLS sides.
