A big time tournament for the FCD academy coming up here as they head to Copa Chivas. FCD is the lone US team in this tournament too as they'll face off against Liga MX sides Monterrey and Tijuana, Portugese giants Benfica and Brazilian powerhouse Cruzeiro.

Yet another MLSer going down to Mexico to play this season. Such an interesting trend we're seeing in that.

Wallace rebuffs Timbers offer and looks overseas | Stumptown Footy

I've always been intrigued by Rodney Wallace as a player but it sounds like his days in MLS are over as he looks elsewhere. I think Oscar Pareja could have done some great work with him too.

Atlanta ending operations in the NASL |

I don't believe I talked about this yesterday but its worth bringing up.

Peter Wilt wants another team in Chicago | Daily Herald

But as Atlanta leaves the NASL, Wilt is trying to get another team in the Windy City.
