FC DALLAS HEAD COACH OSCAR PAREJA

On tonight's match…

A lot of tactical moves with a team who possessed the ball pretty well, and I thought we played very intelligently. Our group played a perfect game today, and the small things that we asked them to do, first to have the urgency and initiative to penetrate and have possession and be patient to take advantage of our options to score. In the second half, I have to prize these guys the way they play the game and they did a good job and I’m very proud of them

On how his players filled in for missing starters…

It’s huge for the club to see five Homegrowns starting and one other one on the bench and have another one with a national team call, so that made us proud. At the same time, we needed to come here to a very difficult place and get a win in a game that could put us in a great spot. It was a big responsibility for these young guys, but they stepped up to it, and I thought they deserve it and they got a huge win.

On what this result says about his team…
The boys are growing, you know, just managing the tempo and managing the ups and downs in the game, and having patience when things aren’t bouncing their way. But at the same time know that it’s a ninety plus minute game and they didn’t get desperate after the PK, they kept their composure, we waited for our moment to attack them and be sharp. We were very fine in front of the goal. So all those things together just made us deserve the points today in a perfect game.

FC DALLAS DEFENDER ZACH LOYD

On tonight’s victory…

It was huge for us. We are still a couple games back in the Western Conference, so those three points on the road for us puts us right back in the fight for the Supporters' Shield. Guys that stepped up today are guys that haven’t been getting a lot of minutes. They showed their quality and that is just a testament to them.

On the successfulness of executing their plan…

It went exactly as planned. It really helped getting that early goal, which forced Columbus to throw more numbers forward, so it left them really open to the counter in the second half and I thought we did really well executing what we planned all week.

On the performance of players in the midst of an international call-up period…

It’s just a growing game for us. Not only have guys that haven’t played much, but our road record this year has not been impressive, so to come on the road and get a big three points at this stage of the season, it definitely gives us confidence going forward and hopefully we can build off of this.

FC DALLAS MIDFIELDER VICTOR ULLOA

On tonight’s victory…

A huge road game for us. We knew the points were up for grabs and what a great win away from home.

On less experienced players filling in during tonight’s match…

We knew that we have a group of guys that can step up and play at any time and they showed it tonight. It was a huge three points for us on the road.

On what FC Dallas needs to do to extend its winning streak…

Just keep our momentum coming. We had a good game tonight, had a game plan, came in and it worked out well for us. [Now we need] to get prepared for New York, another big game at home this week.
