With the calendar set to flip over to another month, the Major League Soccer season continues to near its end for the year.
The playoff races are as hot as they have ever been and FC Dallas is in the thick on things for one of the top spots in the Western Conference. This weekend they can take the first step in getting into the post season with a win over rivals Houston and a loss or draw by the San Jose Earthquakes when they take on Vancouver (let's just hope for a draw and call it a day, shall we?).
MLS revealed this scenario for FCD along with several other scenarios for other teams in both conferences. Nine MLS clubs will have a chance to confirm their place above the red line, including the possibility of a fully set Eastern Conference. Five Eastern Conference teams, Columbus Crew SC, New England Revolution, D.C. United, Toronto FC, Montreal Impact, and four Western Conference clubs, LA Galaxy, Vancouver Whitecaps FC, Seattle Sounders FC and FC Dallas, will be able to qualify. New York Red Bulls have already confirmed their spot while the Chicago Fire have already been eliminated.
