Real Salt Lake has not spent the season near the top of the Western Conference table like we might be used to, but that doesn't mean they're any less dangerous. Here's the lowdown heading into Saturday's match.
Injury Report
RSL is very healthy heading into this one as their only concern, Jamison Olave, returns from injury this weekend.
Probable Lineup
GK Nick Rimando; RB Tony Beltran, CB Aaron Maund, Jamison Olave, LB Phillips; CDM Luke Mulholland, Kyle Beckerman; RM Luis Silva, CM Javier Morales, LM Joao Plata; ST Sebastian Jaime.
Key Matchup
Javier Morales is quietly having an excellent year with six goals and nine assists. He's had a hand in a RSL goal 15 times while only starting 17 games. If FC Dallas, mainly Kellyn Acosta and Matt Hedges, can keep Morales from opening up Joel Plata and Co., FC Dallas has a good shot at shutting out the visitors from Utah.
Key to Three Points
FC Dallas will have to play like their the better team because frankly, for the first time in a while, FC Dallas is the clear favorite against RSL but that means nothing to a team that is fighting to gain a playoff spot. Simply put, FC Dallas needs to beat the teams they should coming down the stretch in order to get back in the race for the supporters shield.
