Fabian Castillo earns spot on 2015 MLS All-Star Game roster

The FCD midfielder earns a roster spot alongside a lot of big names.

The Major League Soccer All-Star Game can be a bit laughable at times with how the fan vote comes together and depending on who commissioner Don Garber selects. Today the league revealed the full game-day roster that will be coached by Colorado Rapids' head coach Pablo Mastroeni. FC Dallas will now have some interest in the game as Colombian speedster Fabian Castillo was named to the 22-man roster.

Castillo is picking up his first All-Star honors, becoming just the second FCD player to earn a spot on the roster in the last three years (Raul Fernandez earning a spot in 2013). He will be the youngest player on the MLS game day roster.

Castillo has had a breakout season as he has seven goals and six assists so far in 2015 to go with seven MLS Team of the Week honors.

The Colombian will join a star-studded midfield that will take on English Premier League side Tottenham. Castillo will look to find a way on the field alongside names like Kaka, Steven Gerrard and Michael Bradley.
