Today is a big day for the United States women's team as they look to knock off Germany in the semifinals.

One of the 3rd Degree guys skipped the Houston game last weekend to take in the big Cascadia Cup match in Portland. I can't say I blame him after seeing that ridiculous tifo. Still, Peter raises some excellent points about how FCD could one day get to the level of excitement at Toyota Stadium that Portland has.
I honestly don't know if they want to call it a derby but it is more fun that way. But seriously, I love this idea. We may go into the details of it later on here.
So FCD will be down Blas Perez, Kyle Bekker and Tesho Akindele this week and for a couple more after that. Thankfully, we will get to keep Je-Vaughn Watson and Moises Hernandez through this weekend. So there is that.

Simon Borg only looks at two plays from the Houston game but nothing too crazy here as he is spot on with the Kellyn Acosta yellow.
For some reason I really want this to take place at midfield with Steven Gerrard under a tarp or something and Bruce Arena comes out and goes 'voila!' as he removes Gerrard's cover.
I suppose some New York fans aren't too happy with the play from Kljestan as of late. That may make some Dallas fans feel better about that whole situation.
Boy the Rapids are in a bad way these days. Doesn't matter who they bring in, they're just bad.
A couple MLS sides are also in the ICC tournament that kicks off here soon. Which got one writer to pose the question about the USOC and whether or not they need to give up one for the other.
Oh boy. Someone didn't get paid for DeAndre Yedlin and now they are taking it all the way to the top, to FIFA. This won't end well.

Yeah, I wouldn't count on that.
Funny comparison of how the US women are playing these days.
