Overall thoughts on the game…
I thought it was great. We dominated completely. We had many options. The energy was high, and we put great pressure on them.
On returning home to Toyota Stadium after six weeks on the road…
It’s been great to see the fans again, I am very happy to share these points with them, because it has been so long, it has been a very long patch for us where we could have done much better in our results. Today, coming back in front of our fans and having such a great performance has been fantastic. We look forward to the next one.
On the own goal…You know, the game just goes like that, that is the beauty of this game that we all love. Tonight we worked hard and the ball bounced our way once in the game, it was not because we were lucky, it was because we worked for it.
FC Dallas midfielder Kellyn Acosta
On being a bigger part of the offense today…I felt like I was able to find good spots on the field today. I was able to get to a couple of second balls but unfortunately a Houston defender was always there to get a foot in to block a few of my shots. I got some looks though. Hopefully, soon I’ll be able to put one away.
On the win versus Houston…A very big win for us. It was nice to get back to our winning ways. Being at home helped a lot. As a team, we were excited to be back here and come up with three points.
On the rain delay…It wasn’t as long as our last rain delay. Maybe being familiar with that situation gave us a little edge. We were just watching the Copa America game. We were a little jittery at the start. We were excited, ready to go. I’m glad we were able to get the three points.
FC Dallas midfielder Fabian CastilloYou were dominant on the wing today, talk about that…The coaching staff told me that [Raul] Rodriguez was not playing his natural position. He is normally a center back. We knew, even though you may be a good player, when you’re not playing in your natural position… We had something there we knew we could take advantage of. I noticed he didn’t look too comfortable in that spot so it was an area we tried to attack.
On the Dynamo own goal being luck…
I feel that it came from hard work. The pass was headed towards [David] Texeira at the back post anyway. Most likely it was going to end up in the net either way.
On playing well at Toyota Stadium…
I feel it is very important to play at home. Any team in the world loves to play at home. I love to feel the support of our fans. That support is our 12th man on the field. Playing well at home is very important.
