In total FC Dallas will be without five players for the 2015 Gold Cup. Joining Canada's Kyle Bekker and Tesho Akindele will be Blas Perez (Panama), Moises Hernandez (Guatemala) and Je-Vaughn Watson (Jamaica) in this summer's tournament.
The full rosters were announced yesterday by CONCACAF and in total there will be 45 MLS players going to this year's tournament.
FC Dallas will likely miss these five players for games starting next week, including the US Open Cup date with Sporting Kansas City. Thankfully, SKC will be missing a pair of players themselves for that game as Graham Zusi (United States) and Marcel de Jong (Canada) both were called up.
But once the MLS slate hits July, Dallas will have to find players to fill the void left by these five players for games against New England, Orlando City and D.C. United. Depending on how far some countries go, we could see further absences for the game against Portland at the end of the month. On the flip side, Portland and Orlando City will have two players missing during this time.
