Jamaica has five MLS players on their 2015 Copa America roster for this summer's tournament including FC Dallas right back Je-Vaughn Watson.
Watson is listed as a midfielder for his country on this roster but coach Winfried Schaefer has the option to play him anywhere in the midfield or his defense should he want to. In previous national team games, Watson has played in the center of the midfield and in the defense.
Jamaica open their first-ever Copa América campaign against Uruguay on June 13, followed by meetings with Paraguay and Argentina in a rugged Group B. The Reggae Boyz will also take part in the CONCACAF Gold Cup this summer.
Watson will likely be slated to miss next weekend's game in Seattle, along with the US Open Cup match against Oklahoma City and the final match of the five-game road trip in Colorado. Should Jamaica advance out of the group phase, Watson could also miss the Houston game at the end of June.
