Rolando Escobar and Blas Perez called up by Panama for June friendlies

The Panamanian duo will miss some time with FCD this month.

If the five-game road trip wasn't enough for FC Dallas, now they potentially could be without two attacking players this weekend in San Jose.

Newly signed midfielder Rolando Escobar and striker Blas Perez were called in by the Panamanian National Team for two international friendlies against Ecuador this week.

Panama first faces Ecuador on Wednesday, June 3, at Estadio Rommel Fernandez in Panama City, Panama. The match is set to kick off at 8 p.m. CT. La Marea Roja then travels to Estadio Reales Tamarindos in Portoviejo, Ecuador, for a match this Friday, June 6, at 4 p.m. CT.

FC Dallas plays at San Jose this Sunday, which puts very little time between the Friday night match in Ecuador and the Sunday evening match on the west coast. The pair are the 16th and 17th international call-ups for FCD this season, and the two will likely miss even more time next month with the Gold Cup on the horizon.

FCD will likely have to turn to guys like Tesho Akindele and David Texeira to fill in the gaps left by these two players.
