FC Dallas drops their second straight game, a 4-0 loss to Sporting KC

Another stinker put up by FC Dallas.

No one ever said the five-game road trip would be easy for FC Dallas. On Friday night, the club lost their second straight game, a 4-0 decision to Sporting Kansas City.

Sporting extended their unbeaten run to six games with the win. The new Western Conference side dominated on set pieces in the match, scoring their first goal in the 19th minute on a set piece from Graham Zusi. The United Stated international found Kevin Ellis free in the six-yard box as he would head the ball across goal to find Krisztian Németh who would slot home the game's opening goal.

Dallas struggled to match Sporting on the night and the game became even harder to do so once Zach Loyd picked up a second yellow card in the 43rd minute on a foul against Nemeth.

Sporting would double their lead just after halftime in the 51st minute on another play by Nemeth, as he would find Benny Feilhaber who would slot home the goal.

SKC added a third just minutes after that in the 57th minute on another assist from Zusi as he would connect with Ellis for his first goal on the night.

Zusi would then score a goal himself in the 64th minute to put the game completely out of reach for Dallas as he hammered home a back heel pass from Connor Hallisey.

Dallas would end up only having one shot on goal in the entire game with just five shots all together on the night.

FC Dallas will return to action next week as they travel west to San Jose.
