Blas Perez nominated for Week 10 Goal of the Week

Super Raton's second half equalizer is one of five nominees.

Once again, FC Dallas has a nominee in the weekly Goal of the Week poll. While I would have expected Tesho Akindele's game winner to be the bid from the 2-1 win over the LA Galaxy, it was actually Blas Perez's equalizer that got the nomination this week.

Perez scored off a nifty chip from Mauro Diaz in the second half against LA to help mount the first come from behind win in nearly three years for the club. It was Perez's team-leading fifth goal of the season too.

His competition is pretty stiff again this week as he will go up against goals from Seattle's Clint Dempsey, New York's Bradley Wright-Phillips, Portland's Diego Valeri and Vancouver's Darren Mattocks. All are pretty good goals too so the voting will likely be pretty tight this week.

To vote, head over to the league's website. Voting runs until 11:59 pm PT on Thursdays. The winner will be announced on Friday.
