Providence Park continues to be a house of horror for FC Dallas as they dropped their first game of the 2015 season on Saturday night, a 3-1 decision to the Portland Timbers. Portland remains unbeaten in all-time regular season meetings at home against Dallas.

Tesho Akindele scored the game's lone goal for the visitors on the night but it wasn't enough as Portland got two second half goals to help give them their first win of the season.

The Timbers got on the board first in the 23rd minute thanks to a cross from Jorge Villafana. The Timbers' right back sent a lofty ball into the penalty box where center back Nat Borchers was able to head it home.

FCD would answer in the 30th minute from Akindele. Michel would send a ball that would cross the goal only to find Atiba Harris who would redirect it into the path of Akindele. The 2014 MLS Rookie of the Year would easily slot home his second goal of the season.

The Timbers would regain the lead for good though in the 63rd minute. Known Dallas-killer Darlington Nagbe would fire a shot at the far post on Chris Seitz's goal but unfortunately for Seitz, Max Urriti would be there redirect it into the back of the net.

Portland would get an insurance goal in the 87th minute thanks to a play from Fernando Adi. The Timbers forward would find Diego Chara in space and he would be able to slip in a hard show past Seitz.

FC Dallas will return home for a game next Friday against the Colorado Rapids.
