MLS Fantasy Manager: Week Nine

FC Dallas players head to Houston, and New York & Colorado play two games this week.

Jim O'Connor-USA TODAY Sports

It's the ninth week of MLS Fantasy Manager 2015. We're about a quarter of the way into the season. Lineups lock tonight at 6:30pm CT!

FC Dallas

Aside from Mauro Diaz, FCD players didn't produce many fantasy points last week. I'm not sure how much the guys will this week either. The Houston-Dallas rivalry is always a surprising one.

Here's some guys to think about adding:

Mauro Diaz $9.1 - Diaz returned last week for FCD and looked spectacular. If he's back to himself, he will put up fantasy points out the wazoo. Buy him while he's cheap (relatively speaking).

Tesho Akindele $8.2 - With Blas Perez suspended, Tesho should start against Houston. Whether that be up top or out wide, he will start. Tesho only has two goals and one assist so far this season. He's due and might explode with Blas out.

Matt Hedges $9.1 - Big players show up in big games in big ways for big D. It looks like Hedges will ready to play Friday. Thank goodness, we need him sorely. Our captain will keep El Capitan at Toyota Stadium.

This week starts a run of six straight weeks of double game weeks. This is going to be a fun stretch and can make or break you. This week, New York Red Bulls and Colorado Rapids have two games. Montreal Impact and Orlando City SC are on bye weeks.

Here's some guys to think about adding:

Bradley Wright-Phillips (NYRB) $11.0 - You can't go wrong with NYRB players in fantasy right now. They are the hottest team in MLS and have still yet to lose a game. BWP might not be raking in the goals as of yet, but he's playing better than last year. With a game against Colorado at home and New England Revolution on the road, he's a solid option to captain. I know he will be mine.

Stefan Ishizaki (LA) $8.0 - Ishizaki is a solid fantasy option to keep for the long haul. He's  guarantee to get you 4-6 points every week. LA has a home game against Colorado this week and a DGW next week. Start picking up an LA player or two.

Graham Zusi (SKC) $10.5 - Zusi is back from injury and Dom Dwyer is scoring again. I'm afraid last week's game in Houston might have flipped a switch for this team offensively. If so, you might want to add Zusi and/or Dwyer soon, because they're electric when they get going.

Obafemi Martins (SEA) $11.4 - Seattle heads to Yankee Stadium to take on New York City FC this weekend. This type of fast pace and small fielded game is going to work in Seattle's favor big time. Martins and Clint Dempsey will be feeding off of one another's energy. NYCFC hasn't been great this season. This one might get ugly.

Damien Perrinelle (NYRB) $6.7 - Like I said, the Red Bulls are the hottest team in MLS right now and are on a DGW. Perrinelle is racking up the fantasy points and will this week as well.
