Mauro Diaz up for Goal of the Week

Thanks to some superb set up play from Fabian Castillo.

FC Dallas has another shot at winning a Goal of the Week here. Thanks to some dazzling set up play from Fabian Castillo, Mauro Diaz's first goal of the season is one of five nominees for the Week 8 Goal of the Week.

Castillo raced through several Colorado defenders before laying off the ball to Diaz to score the lone goal for FC Dallas in a 1-1 draw against the Colorado Rapids on Friday.

The competition this week is stiff as Diaz will go up against goals from LA Galaxy Homegrown Bradford Jamieson IV, who scored his first professional goal on Sunday against New York; New England Revolution left back Chris Tierney scored a fine goal with his nom-dominant foot to help spark a rout over Real Salt Lake 4-0; Vancouver Whitecap Designated Player Pedro Morales opened up his scoring account in a 2-1 loss to D.C. United; and Sporting Kansas City midfielder Benny Feilhaber silenced the Houston Dynamo crowd with a ridiculous 25-yard bomb deep into stoppage time to help SKC back in a wild 4-4 tie.

Be sure to go vote early and often for Diaz here! You can see the rest of the goals here.
