The USL season is a month old and FC Dallas is finally going to take advantage of their affiliate Arizona United SC as they plan to send Homegrown midfielder Danny Garcia.
Neither club has commented on the loan but Garica tweeted this out on Saturday:
Excited for the opportunity to play here with @AZUnitedSC and make the most out of it.— Danny Garcia (@dannyyboyy11) April 25, 2015
The 21-year old Garcia has struggled to get playing time in both last season and so far this year. He started in four matches last year after Mauro Diaz went down with his first injury but never was able to maintain that starting role and he also picked up a hamstring injury during the summer, which kept him from seeing any playing time as well.
A loan for Garcia is a big deal really as he needs the playing time to develop his game more. He is one of those high-potential guys but also one that still needs time to develop as a professional.
The real question most of you are probably asking right now is will Garcia be it? I had been told that when FCD would start loaning players, they would at least send two. The delay in sending players here lately has come down to international call-ups and injuries. If I had to peg one more loan based on what Arizona could be needing right now it would be a defender, which means someone like rookie Otis Earle makes sense.
Once this loan becomes official we will let you all know.
