MLS Fantasy Manager: Week Eight

FC Dallas players head to Colorado looking to avenge 4-0 loss at home two weeks ago.

Ron Chenoy-USA TODAY Sports

The eighth week of MLS Fantasy Manager 2015 is here. Lineups lock Friday night at 7:00pm CT! Let's get started.

FC Dallas

The Hoops bounced back from their 4-0 loss to Colorado in style. I'm not just talking about getting off to a quick 3-0 start while playing some fabulous football. I'm talking about those slick secondary kits as well. Get used to them. We might see FCD wear them the next two weeks as well. FCD attacking players got the bulk of the fantasy points last week. But, I'm expecting everyone to get decent points this week.

Here's some guys to think about starting:

Fabian Castillo $10.0 - Castillo is now worth $10.0 in fantasy, and for good reason. He's the fourth highest fantasy scorer in the midfield. Colorado contained him two weeks ago, but I don't see them doing a lot of the same Friday night.

Tesho Akindele $8.2 - Tesho has scored two goals this season. Both of those goals have been on the road. FCD will be on the road this weekend. Will he make it three for three? That would be kind of cool. I'm thinking Oscar Pareja will go with more of an attacking lineup Friday. That's why I think Tesho gets the start and makes an impact.

Zach Loyd $7.7 - Loyd has played well partnered next to Matt Hedges. Really well actually. Last time around, Hedges didn't play against Colorado. This time he's here and Colorado is short on attacking players. Our back line should have a great game. I'd start anyone on that back line in my squad this week.

No clubs have two games this week. But, next week Colorado Rapids and New York Red Bulls both have double-game weeks. Prepare accordingly.

Here's some guys to think about starting:

Kei Kamara (CLB) $8.4 - Kamara is tearing it up as of late. He's tallied three goals and an assist over the last three games. That's impressive. Columbus plays Philadelphia at home this weekend. Columbus is just a far better team at the moment. I wouldn't bet against playing any of their guys this weekend.

Kendall Waston (VAN) $8.7 - Vancouver have cooled down a bit after their hot start to the season and MLS Cup talk. But, they're still a good team. Especially at home. That defense is solid.

Clint Dempsey (SEA) $11.3 - Dempsey has three goals and two assists in the four games he's played in this season. He shows up in big games. It doesn't get any bigger than a showdown between the Seattle Sounders and Portland Timbers in the Cascadia Cup at CenturyLink Field.

Harrison Shipp (CHI) $7.9 - I'm all aboard the Harry Shipp for USMNT(see what I did there?). I love how he plays. Chicago hasn't played in a long time. They will be at home against New York City FC this weekend. NYCFC is suffering the injury bug right now and I think Shipp's club (yes, it is most definitely his club) capitalizes on that.

Jozy Altidore (TOR) $9.6 - Jozy hasn't scored in MLS since his brace in the opener at Vancouver. He's hungry and he's due. With guys like Michael Bradley and Sebastian Giovinco setting him up, he's bound to get a goal. Toronto FC need a win badly this weekend.

Away goals

I bumped up a little in the overall rankings from 381 to 366. Not a bad week for me considering Javier Morales ended up not playing and my captain David Villa got injured. Picked up Lloyd Sam and Bradley Wright-Phillips. Building for the DGW next week. Here's my squad this week as I take on the MLSFantasyBoss guy that writes for in a Head-To-Head league...
