MLS Fantasy Manager: Week Seven

After a disappointing week, FC Dallas players look to bounce back against Toronto FC at home.

Adam Hunger-USA TODAY Sports

It's the seventh week of MLS Fantasy Manager 2015 and we just experienced our first double-game week of the season. Buckle up, we have another DGW this week. Lineups lock at 6:00pm CT on Thursday!

FC Dallas

Well, last week was a disaster in more ways than one. One of them being that FCD players didn't get many fantasy points at all. Which was very surprising considering FCD was playing at home against Colorado. However, the Hoops will be at home once again and be looking to make a statement after suffering their second loss in a row.

Here's some guys to think about starting:

Matt Hedges $9.1 - Hedges missed last week, but should be ready to go this weekend. It's a huge boost to have the captain back. As we saw, this team's defense was really lacking without him back there being the anchor. He will have to shut down Jozy Altidore. I think he will do just that. If this doesn't get him a chance to start with the USMNT, I don't know what will.

Fabian Castillo $9.8 - Castillo is due for another good game. Toronto FC's defense will not be able to contain him in this one.

Blas Perez $9.3 - No one has more passion on the pitch for FCD than Perez. He will be angry and ready to prove FCD belongs to be in the elite of MLS. Toronto has given up eight goals in four games. Wouldn't surprise me if FCD shows up and pulls a Germany vs. Brazil.

Two teams on DGWs this week: New York City FC and Philadelphia Union. Two teams on bye weeks: Chicago Fire and Montreal Impact. Montreal actually has two bye weeks in a row because of CONCACAF Champions League action. Prepare accordingly.

Here's some guys to think about starting:

David Villa (NYCFC) $10.3 - NYCFC have two home games this week. The field at Yankee Stadium is small and there is a lot of fast-paced football played. A lot of attacking = more chances for Villa to score. He's my captain this week.

Lloyd Sam (NYRB) $8.8 - Sam has scored three goals in four games for the Red Bulls. He has been tremendous so far this season. Surprisingly, so has NYRB. Sam is a guy to keep for the long term in your squad.

Clint Irwin (COL) $5.1 - Need an upgrade at goalie? Irwin is getting it done in fantasy this season. This is mainly because Colorado has had three scoreless draws. Seattle Sounders come to town to face the Rapids, but Colorado will be full of confidence after dismantling FCD on the road.

Bobby Boswell (DCU) $9.1 - Boswell and D.C. United have three clean sheets already this season. WIth a matchup against Houston coming up this weekend at home, I wouldn't bet against them getting another.

Sebastien Le Toux (PHI) $8.9 - Le Toux has started off slow this season. He is Philly's best bet at getting solid fantasy points during their DGW this week.

Away goals

Pretty good DGW for me last week. Shot up to 381 overall. Hoping to build off of that. But, I wasn't paying attention when I added Fernando Aristeguieta. He's injured right now and might not play. Whoops. Hopefully he does. If not, I have Jose Villarreal on my bench who I might start anyways. Here's my squad for this week...
