So here are my ratings for the week:
Chris Seitz - 7
Another strong performance in goal and another shutout. He continues to make it hard for Oscar Pareja to make any sort of switch to Dan Kennedy.
Moises Hernandez - 6
Game after game, Mo continues to improve. Now he has an international callup from Guatemala to boot. His passing could still use some work but overall, his work rate and effort is not going unnoticed.
Matt Hedges - 8
Once again, Hedges remains the dominant force in the back for FCD. He is getting more vocal and confident as a captain too, which is a big positive to see out of him.
Zach Loyd - 8
Right now, I would argue that Loyd is the most underrated player in all of MLS.
Atiba Harris - 5
Some slight improvements here that I touched on yesterday with regards to his positioning in the penalty box on certain plays. He is getting there but we all know that Je-Vaughn Watson will take over soon enough.
Victor Ulloa - 8
Possibly had his best game of the season on Saturday. His passing rate was ridiculous (88% completed) and his defensive work has been a headache for other teams to deal with.
Michel - 4
Not a great 45 minutes of play but also not a terrible 45 minutes of play either. The yellow card was a bad pickup which likely forced Pareja to make the change as soon as he did.
Fabian Castillo - 7
He continues to be a headache on the wings for other teams with his pace, plus now he is creating chances for his teammates. I still wish he wouldn't disappear in stretches of the game though, that can be frustrating to see.
Tesho Akindele - 7
The finish on his goal was very nice, something young players like him struggle with. But he is still having issues at playing on the wings in a 4-2-3-1 setup.
Mauro Diaz - 6
He missed a couple good chances on goal but that will improve over time with him. His possession on the ball was better in this game too. I do want to point out his recoveries and defense again, so much more out of him like that will lead to chances (like the first goal).
Blas Perez - 5
A deeper look at Perez on the afternoon showed that he had zero shots. Zero.
Oscar Pareja - 8
Making the swap at halftime again made him look like a genius.
Ryan Hollingshead - 7
The goal was great, yes, we all know that. But the way he closed out the game in the middle portion of the field for FCD should not go unnoticed at all. He's very calm on the ball in the middle portion of the field which is so valuable to have in late-game situations.
Kyle Bekker - 5
A solid few minutes to help close the game out. No body slams this time, which tells me he isn't up for going to Wrestlemania this weekend.
David Texeira - INC
Came in too late to provide enough to talk about.
