By The Numbers: FC Dallas vs Philadelphia Union

Numbers don't lie... except when they do

Bill Streicher-USA TODAY Sports

FC Dallas continues their perfect start to their 2015 campaign with a solid 2-0 win against the Philadelphia Union last Saturday. Dallas will bring their perfect record up against the Supporter's Shield holders Seattle Sounders this Saturday back home in Frisco at Toyota Stadium, but before we get into that let's look at some interesting numbers from last weekend's game.

1 - Dallas' first win in Chester PA ever (1-0-3 all time)

1 - This was also Chris Seitz' first ever clean sheet in Philly (including his one season there in 2010)

1 - With the second goal last Saturday, Ryan Hollingshead registered his first career MLS goal

2 - Seitz already has two clean sheets in 2015 in just three matches, equaling his entire 2014 season total

4 - Dallas is 4-1-0 when Tesho Akindele finds the back of the net

8 - Dallas is currently on an eight game unbeaten streak against Philadelphia, having never lost to them in league play (4 wins, 4 draws)

10 - Dallas moves to 10-4-2 whenever Seitz makes three or more saves in a match (he made 5 against the Union)

11 - This is the third consecutive game that Dallas has taken 11 shots

1998 - This perfect 3-0-0 start ties the franchise record for best start after three games. Last time they went perfect after three, was in 1998. Another fun fact about 1998? That was Oscar Pareja's first year with the club.
